From the fields of grain surrounding the brewery, the Wood brothers were inspired to hand craft their own fine ales. Jolly Ploughman

In a brewing tradition that dates back centuries, Jolly Ploughman is still brewed by Tom Wood in the old brew house on the family farm. A dark beer specially brewed for bottling that captures the Highwood Brewery taste. It pours a dark coppery colour. It has a very meagre head and little aroma, which is typical of English beers, however its taste is pronounced: malty and very smoky.

Father's Pride

A deep, dark amber, or burnished copper beer, the head is transitory, the lace microscopic. The nose is malt, light hints of caramel, sweet and pleasant. The finish is hopped, fundamentally carbonated, with a dry aftertaste; the quintessential pint of bitter.
